My Energy Wise’s Story

My Energy Wise Home Services was started as a Family business in 1961 by Harold Barnett and his brother-in-law Dick Parkhurst. Dick left the Company and moved to Alaska in 1964. Harold specialized in plumbing, heating and air systems in new homes until the recession of the 80’s when his son, Bob, decided to take over the company and take it in a new direction. The company soon began to evolve into a service oriented business taking care of issues that come up. Bob expanded the company to be one of the largest in the area only to find that it lost the personal involvement that the family wanted with their customers. In recent years the company has reduced staff and regained the personal involvement with every customer. Bob’s son, Travis, now works in the company bringing a new level of expertise in workmanship.
